Hiroshima Convention & Visitors Bureau exhibited at AIME 2020 in Melbourne first time
Hiroshima Convention & Visitors Bureau (HCVB) first time exhibited at AIME 2020 held in Melbourne from February 17th to 19th.
From Japan, in addition to HCVB, JNTO, Sapporo Convention Bureau, Fukuoka Convention Bureau, and Kitakyushu Convention Bureau exhibited.
Hiroshima has become the symbolic city of seeking world peace since the tragedy happened 75 years ago. Obama as the first sitting US President in May 2016 and Pope Francis in December 2019 visited Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and both delivered their messages seeking world peace to the world.
At the venue of AIME2020, despite of the impact of COVID―19, 17 hosted buyers had booked our slots and 27 buyers visited HCVB booth, including 5 hosted buyers from associations.
This time, a stuff member from DMC Hiroshima Inc. also attended AIME 2020 so that HCVB could present eagerly promotion for not only associations also incentive buyers in cooperation with DMC Hiroshima.
In the Hiroshima booth, HCVB and DMC Hiroshima introduced venues for International conferences, sightseeing spots such as Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park or Ituskushima island, Unique venues, local attractions such as Kagura performances as well as a wide range of well-supplied accommodation facilities.
There were many positive comments form buyers, which they could learn about Hiroshima very well and wanted to visit Hiroshima someday.
HCVB has exhibited at IMEX Frankfurt for six consecutive years and at IMEX America for nine consecutive years and has had business talks with many buyers to introduce HCVB’s supports, including subsidies for attracting international conferences.
On top of that, HCVB has introduced Meet Japan Program which is a fam trip program to cities in Japan, conducted by JNTO.
