Shakushi Making Experience
The shakushi (rice scoop) is one of the traditional folk crafts of Miyajima. Now you can try your hand at making your own.
After learning about the history of rice scoops, you will use brands to burn your chosen image--a torii gate, maple leaves, cherry blossoms, and so on--onto a rice scoop, creating your own unique original shakushi, which you can take back home with you.
